The Secretariat is organized on divisional basis as follows:
The Division is headed by a Deputy Director SGL 16. It supervises and coordinates the activities that pertain to appointment and promotion as well as research and statistics. It provides the secretariat for the BAPC and performs such other duties that are assigned to it from time to time by the Secretary of the Board.
The Division is headed by a Deputy Director on SGL 16. It handles all matters relating to disciplinary control and general purposes received from time to time from the affected Services or the Board. It provides the secretariat for the BDGPC and also handles other matters assigned to it from time to time by the Secretary of the Board.
In the interim, the BMS Division is headed by an Assistant Chief Admin Officer on SGL 13 who reports through the Deputy Director (D&GP) to the to the Director/Secretary of the Board. Such activities include providing secretariat services to the Board and handling the protocol and public relations functions of the Board. In addition, it is required to ensure follow-up actions on decisions taken by the Board for effective implementation. To facilitate the effective performance of his duties, the Head of the BMS Division attends all meetings of the Standing Committees. The Division also performs other functions that are assigned to it from time to time by the Secretary of the Board.
This Division is headed by Assistant Director SGL 15 who coordinates and supervises the administrative schedule generally (personnel, stores, works, transport, security and staff welfare).
This division is currently headed by an Assistant Director who coordinates and supervises the finance (salaries, other charges and budgets) functions of the Board. The Board is self-accounting.
